Kind of sad that this Kong will have never climbed the Empire State

That is why we have two movies that already show those scenes.

Since this is a brand new universe, they have to break the mold a little. No "Beauty and the Beast", no climbing the ESB, and hopefully no battle with a T-Rex. Those can bee seen in 1933 or 2005. I think it makes things A LOT more interesting not knowing the exact details.

Yeah, although I do hope we get little Easter eggs. This is probably my most anticipated movie of 2017 because King Kong 1933 is like my favorite movie and I love the character. Plus, it's been long enough, like how often does a King Kong movie come out in theaters?

Yes that's been done quite a few times so i'm not sad we don't get to see him up the Empire again

Indeed. We've had two versions of 1933 and three retellings overall (if one does not count the dreaded 1998 animated feature THE MIGHTY KONG).

This one is most likely going to be an island adventure. Now some will automatically think the JURASSIC movies, expect this one takes place in 1971, and on an uncharted lost world. Not to mention that Kong was the original island adventure.

as someone else mentioned, this size Kong would be far too large to climb on the Empire State building without it breaking; try imagining Godzilla attempting to climb the Empire State building, same idea in terms of mass

I'm glad. This leaves the option, of the stupid humans leaving the island, and leaving Kong alive for once!

Maybe he will in the Godzilla crossover. Hell it's probably a fight over said beautiful lady.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
