and the plot synopsis seems to reveal some more interesting info on the mysterious plot.

The film revolves around the story of a man (Tom Hiddleston) who travels to an island mythology after his brother - in search of a serum that can cure any disease - is trapped in that place. The man becomes the leader of an expedition to save his brother with the risk of running into dangerous creatures that live in the island.

Of course if that is indeed true then I wonder why they call it a "survey job" in the trailer though.

Ok that seems more interesting than "just a survey job".

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
