New early review

Not sure if this is true or not but actor Brandon Davis posted an early review saying best movie of the year. However he said no dinosaurs and no references to Godzilla. If this is true that would be so stupid to not include Dinosaurs in this movie it's Skull Island.

reply

How can this guy have a review already? The movie is still four months away. Does he have a connection to one of the producers or actors?

reply

he is apart of Comibook.com

He has a review of an early cut not the final cut though.

reply

Is there an actual link to the review or is this guy just claiming he has already reviewed the film's early cut?

reply

Almost sounds like this guy is referencing the 1976 movie!

The trailer already revealed a skull of a triceratops. Of course, we don't know if dinosaurs became extinct on that island or not, or perhaps the dinos may have evolved differently, but with all of these rumors suddenly swirling around, this is another one I do not take at face value.

reply

It's likely all dinosaurs have mutated. We do know there are many more creatures on that island (this was also confirmed by that same dude).

reply

Yeah, he says there are other creatures that Kong fights. Maybe he's just trying to be a smart arse? There are no dinosaurs on the island that we know of, but maybe there are other kinds that we don't know of? Basically, undiscovered species of dinosaurs, just like Kong is apparently an undiscovered species of ape.

I have a very long ignore list

reply

I would love for it to be a good movie.
Also...
They indirectly referenced Godzilla in trailer...
And dinosaurs too, with that oversized triceratops skull,
which btw was not a fossilized one.

reply

Just found another tweet that claims there has another positive reaction to Skull Island.

This tweet is cool:

All we know is there's a monster fight that goes down between Kong & a "river monster". We assume it's the leviathan on the map.

I kind of hope it’s a giant octopus instead.

Hmm, that does make me said. But does that mean just no dinosaurs or are there no other monsters at all?

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

reply

I read that while he's not fighting dinosaurs, he will indeed battle against some monsters. What kind of monsters, though, I do not know.

reply

I'd toss in a Jon Peters reference and say 'giant spider' but it looks like we'll get one!

Is the review available to read online?

"Can I use her underwear to make soup?"

reply

Well, the trailer does feature someone shooting rounds from a triceratops skull.

reply

The inclusion of Monarch is a reference to Godzilla, though he may not have been aware of that...
