Hate haps ex? Idk if I heard correctly but she made a big deal about him going to war or something?

It goes into it more in-depth in the book but Trudy is just a detestable person. She uses people and has used Hap repeatedly, breaking his heart each time. She has a strong moral compass but even that is somewhat skewed.

She is the one who made his best friend Hap to go to PRISON for her basically, just to fulfill her idealistic hippies ideas, and then? Then she divorced him, lol

She is a bastard, a manipulator, I guess it's enough don't you?

Because Leonard saw her for what she was and he had good instincts about her.

Trudy convinced Hap to protest going to war and spending two years in prison to fulfill their cause. She promised him she'd be there when he got out. For some reason, she couldn't function on her own without Hap and left him and divorced him in prison. She was flighty and manipulative.

She was still using Hap but he was too blind to see it. Luckily, she saved him in the end and stepped up and became a decent person. Had she lived, she would have continued screwing with Hap for years to come.

Leonard didn't like her because she crapped all over his best friend.
