Watched my first... and last... episode this evening (June 1st)
The concept of this show is okay, but the selection of the "cast" was terrible.
I've never seen so many whining, crying, drama queens in one place in my life though.
Nobody's gonna die on a TV show for God's sake, we all know this. The guy that was crying about his babies seeing him, come on. Notice his absolutely steady gait when he was walking to the boat? Not one stumble. Fake.
And Davion ("I know where the line is")... what a self aggrandizing prima donna.
At least the guy that got the ant bites, and hives as a result, didn't start sobbing, thankfully. The trauma surgeon gave him diphenhydramine and was waiting to see if he improves. If he doesn't, he'll get pulled off the island by boat and paramedics will immediately provide him additional Benadryl intravenously, IV steroids and additional medications & IV fluids as needed. Done deal.
I guess this hyper-melodrama is to be expected as Bear "Danger is my Business" Grylls is one of the executive producers.
Every "survival" show takes some varying degree of dramatic license, but damn.
Enjoy this crapola if you can.
