I liked it, but I am also a little frustrated by it!
I think this might stem from the lack of a conclusion (for me at least)
Does anyone feel the same?
Can anyone help?

Totally agree on that I thought it was going to end the same as you did. Knowing it was going to end without answers and abruptly. But then it cut to them singing american honey in the car and I figured they would end it there but it went a little further.
shareI think there was a symbolic conclusion.
Jake, knowing that Star loves animals, gives her a turtle as a gift. Star, loving animals, returns the turtle to its home. She sets it free.
Setting the turtle free is a rejection of Jake, but it doesn't feel like a rejection. It feels like transcendence. It feels to me that she is not just rejecting Jake, but the notion that she needs to be dependent on men.
And then Star, who can't swim, immerses herself in the lake or pond, and emerges (as another noted) baptized.
Prepare your minds for a new scale of physical, scientific values, gentlemen.share
