I'm thinking of taking my 17 y/o niece to see this film however I'm a bit worried with regards to the sexual content. Of course she knows about the birds and the bees but I wouldn't want her to feel shocked by what is on screen. So if someone could please post a full description of this film's sexual content, whether it is graphic/real/exposed body parts and for how long I can then make an informed decision as to whether it would be appropriate for a girl to watch it. Also could the sexual content be described as aberrant or stimulatory in a dangerous way that might affect the mind of a young person? Are the women degraded? Is it violent? Are there highly sensual scenes involving more than two people?

This is the oldest troll on the IMDB, but since you asked. When I take my 17-year-old "niece" to a movie, I always try to find one that will "stimulate" her young mind and introduce to "aberrant" sexuality. I doubt this movie would do that though since it's a serious movie from the director of "Fish Tank".

Besides you're probably better off watching something in the privacy of your own home, since they often frown on adult men taking their 17-year-old "niece" to potentially racy movies in many US states. . .

Judging by K.I.M the director is more into penises than female body parts. Other than the exposure of male anatomy the film doesn't seem particularly extreme on the sex front? Do you think a 17 y/o should be able to see such things on a big screen?

There's a somewhat explicit scene between two characters which lasts a good couple of minutes but no genitals can be seen.

Its nothing any 17 year old hasnt seen, heard about, or done by that age. If you're worried she wont want to go with someone when she watches she can always go herself since shes of age.
