Almost 3 hrs and no character development
The main characters never grew throughout the film. They were scum *beep* when the film started and still trash when the film finished. Maybe it's just a nod to the hopelessness of today's white trash youth, but I didn't find it particularly engaging.
Then there's the missed opportunity of developing any of the carney crew. They had that stupid introduction in the van that kindergarteners do and after that no development. No supporting cast members stands out. How does a director even accomplish that in a 3 hour film? A guy running around with his junk out is not my idea of creating a good supporting cast. Amateurish at best.
