Decent Movie, Not Terribly scary as movies go but...

Not terribly scary or suspenseful, but still an interesting and definitely timely story. It's truly alarming how many people have died via suicide, murder...or had their lives, reputations been completely decimated all through technology and the control and power it gives people who can instantly shame, humiliate and ruin you across the world with the click of a button. Not to say people did not do these sort of things prior social media, but NOT it is exponentially faster and easier to spread things around and the ability to have a hand held device that you could use while your drunk off your ass or stoned out of your mind giving you access and ability to do things with the most severe of consequences that could destroy both your life and someone else's upon impulse, heat of the moment or bad day. It essentially gives everyone on earth a loaded weapon to use anytime they want.

The story in the movie about a young pretty girl with her whole life ahead of her who gets wasted and soils herself and then her "friends" covertly videotape her and spread it around the world. This is not a movie. This is what happens every single day. People are humiliated to brink of suicide. People's lives are destroyed instantly.

Despite this being only a movie; this is what goes on all the time now. People use videos, photos and private conversations as a means of blackmail and control.

I didn't think this was a great movie, but it definitely makes you think about how people can use and abuse technology even with close friends.

This was not a horror movie. It is more like a movie teenagers did spoofing a horror movie.

I'm over 40 so obviously I hated it.

If you're over 40 I'm not even sure why you attempted it.

Why do you watch any movie, to see if it's good. Some are made for everyone and others go after a specific audience. I'm over 40 not 80, so hearing about a cyber horror movie doesn't instantly rule it out for me. In my opinion this movie was made for the teen/20 year old.

I'm 43, I watched it with my daughter and enjoyed it for what it was. A stalking thriller with an interesting play on the "final girl" trope.

I'm over 40 and I thought it was okay.

It wasn't scary really and there were quite a few stupid moments but I was at least interested to see what would happen. Plus I use skype, FB etc.

That's the only redeeming factor of this movie; the message and concept is good. Delivery of it is awful, but the concept is good.

I thought it was pretty good. It was very original as far as found footage movies go. I think it really makes you take a look at how you treat people and what kind of effect (positive or negative) your actions can have on their lives. Oftentimes we say or do something and think nothing of it but it lingers in someone else's mind for days, months, or even years. The only complaint I have is the ending. I feel it could've had just a little more impact. I don't know what exactly what they could've done differently, but something.
