I'm surprised Blair and the others would be friends with him. They seem like the type that would make fun of someone who is effeminate and overweight.
shareI was working with the assumption he gained weight after having established a friendship with one of the characters and was grandfathered in to the cliche. They seemed more like backstabbers and gossipers than confrontational and a personality like Ken's might actually dominate in a way, he's got that TMZ writer demeanor about him.

I never found him effeminate. He was overweight. You thought he acted like a girl? I don't get that comment at all.
shareAt one point he says in a girly voice "Heeey! I'll pick you up and we'll go to Taco Belll!" He was exaggerating but still. His snarky attitude reminded me of a gossipy queen. That's why I said he seemed effeminate. I don't think a straight guy would enjoy dishing with his female friends. Just something about his character stood out.
I guess they were also friends with him because he was knowledgable about tech stuff.
I just didn't see that. He definitely wouldn't have minded hooking up with any of those girls from his cheeky comments.
