OK movie, ineffective horror

So, I thought this film was reasonably entertaining: it had a crisp running time, worked as a morality play of sorts and the dialogue, bar the odd unnecessary audience orientated explanation ('troll), was convincingly natural. The format worked well, and hadn't I seen it in Modern Family already I'd be even more enthusiastic about that aspect.

Having said that, I think it failed miserably when it comes to suspense. There really isn't much doubt from scene one that things are gonna end badly for them and considering the omnipotence of their antagonist they really don't stand a chance.

Ghosts and lovers, they will haunt you for a while

Good summary. I felt about the same way. I didnt think it was scary at all, but it was very creative. I've never seen a movie done in a format like this, which made it interesting to watch.

It was kind of cool the way that they could have Blair start typing but then erase and type something else. It was a real easy way for them to show us exactly what she was thinking without having some annoying narrator telling us, or having her tell us, or watching her overact to show us.

I would like to see a movie that uses this same concept, but more effectively.
