Scariest scene in the movie
The scene where Jess was screaming as she was being possessed by Laura before her death was so disturbing and the glitch made it even scarier.

shareNothing scared me EXCEPT the 911 call where Ken calls the operator turns out to not be a real operator. That part was pretty chilling.

True, that was scary in a very chilling/haunting kind of way.
shareI admit it, Demon Laura actually got me at the end of the movie. Wasn't expecting her to show herself, even if it didn't look like her.

So many creepy parts in this movie! But the first one to come off the top of my head is when Ken finally gets rid of billy227; the small bit of relief before the conversation with 911 seriously turns freaky, and then billy227 makes that eerie reentrance.

For me it'd be them trying to remove billie from Skype with the anti virus program and billie is counting down, also the scene with Val sitting there motionless before falling.
shareWhen billie types "You wouldn't like it here". That kind of made the hairs on my neck stand up.
shareJesus, if people thought his was scary, please please do not ever go see a real scary movie, you might just *beep* your pants IRL.
"Remember when they were all like 'Whos Billy'? Man was that creepy"
WTF?
People are frightened by different things. A movie that scared the crap out of you might not do anything for me.
Billie227 seriously creeps me out. I haven't even touched Skype since I've seen this movie. On youtube, there is a poster who named herself Laura Barns commenting seriously creepy sh*t on the videos about this movie. I won't respond to any of her comments because I DO NOT want to be on her radar.
I can see why people would not be scared by this, but for me? Just, ugh... Something about it just really disturbed me, and I am crazy frightened of Laura. Some parts of my brain see it as totally irrational. Other parts are just the opposite.
🐺 "The North remembers"
"Remember in the movie where one guy was typing, then they showed someone else typing, then they showed someone's reaction to what they wrote?" Man that kept me on the edge of my Seat! I was like "No way!" this is way to scary.
WTF?
I know right?! So scary! Then on an internet forum, there was this one guy, and he was all talking about how the movie isn't scary. And this other person was like all, "Dude! What are you talking about. It's like, SO scary!!11!1"
...

Horror is subjective, jackass. If someone finds this scary, they find it scary. There's no need for you to be a dick about it.
shareI've seen many, many of the movies which are globally considered as the scariest, and still thought that this one was quite creepy.
It sure didn't scare the "shit out of me", but it was effective to a point when I had some chills.
There was something about this plot that made me feel like I was closer to the reality of this movie more than most horror movies I've watched.
It doesn't stop me from sleeping at night, but I sure as hell don't like to rethink about it too much. People are scared by different things, so don't be so arrogant.
I thought there were a lot of good scares in this movie and I honestly don't know why people hate it so much, I mean, pick any two star horror film on streaming Netflix and you can be pretty much guaranteed it will suck way worse then this but:
Laura/Billie telling Val "you wouldn't like it where I am", Val sitting motionless while Laura possesses her and the phone keeps sliding across the counter, the 911 call that gets creepy real quick.
I liked how whenever Blaire looked up Laura or anything after a while her computer would always show that unexplained forum link at the very top, the one with the thread about not taking online messages from dead people?
It seemed that Mitchie was acting kind of weird even at the very beginning. I wondered if he was actually typing the messages to Blaire because they were creepy.
