I wanted to love this movie. Barely liked it. I found the girl irritating and they never got deep enough with each other for me to really care. Superficial topics. The end of the movie is a "cliffhanger" but it's obvious to me what happens.
shareI couldn't agree more, bottomlineme! I saw the trailer and was really looking forward to it. Watched it last night on Netflix. The dialogue rarely dipped below the surface. I'm disappointed.
shareI also went in wanting to like it, and found myself constantly suppressing the realization that the film didn't 'just need a little more time' and wasn't going to ever congeal. The characters try very hard to be cute, witty and likable, but they don't pull it off. Ending was a clear lead-in for an unwanted sequel. I agree "ehhhh' is the best description of the movie feel. The only upside was that I enjoyed the Honk Kong scenery, and possibly a couple of suggestions for go-to places to visit there.
