Wanted to love it...it was just ehhhh

I wanted to love this movie. Barely liked it. I found the girl irritating and they never got deep enough with each other for me to really care. Superficial topics. The end of the movie is a "cliffhanger" but it's obvious to me what happens.

I couldn't agree more, bottomlineme! I saw the trailer and was really looking forward to it. Watched it last night on Netflix. The dialogue rarely dipped below the surface. I'm disappointed.

I also went in wanting to like it, and found myself constantly suppressing the realization that the film didn't 'just need a little more time' and wasn't going to ever congeal. The characters try very hard to be cute, witty and likable, but they don't pull it off. Ending was a clear lead-in for an unwanted sequel. I agree "ehhhh' is the best description of the movie feel. The only upside was that I enjoyed the Honk Kong scenery, and possibly a couple of suggestions for go-to places to visit there.
