Dumb comment. The small space station's purpose implies the need for an occasional EVA. The purpose of interstellar generation ship does not rely on any EVAs.

shareIt's called the Canadian Space Agency, and yes, it does exist. NASA and CSA work together all the time. The CSA, as well as space programs from Russia and Japan and Europe were all partners in building the International Space Station. Canada has been responsible for a lot of amazing tech and personnel used by NASA.
Space doesn't belong to anyone; we're all in this together.

shareRegardless, they weren't just passengers, they run and drive this ship, they were doing preventive maintenance, checks and services, they would sooner or later (rather sooner than later) discovered 60's-era surveillance cameras and systems that don't belong to the ship.

Seeing as how they were born & raised in that ship, since the 60's, of course they didn't realize it's fake.
Heck, for all we know a few hundred million miles from earth is just a giant screen and we're bottled up in here. We think we're smart and know everything and have a high horse, but we're not. We can't even properly predict tomorrow's weather or what's at the bottom of our own oceans, yet we've been here for thousands of years recording history.
A few hundred million or even billion miles out from Earth, you couldn't get the kind of observed parallax differences. Which of course is another way those people could have figured things out. I guess they never actually looked at the "stars" they saw, or measured things.
