Eve Bertha? Baird

That's gotta be what the middle B in EBB stands for. By far the worst name for a girl ever haha

You see the destruction that she-beast laid? I'm being risk-averse, considering.

Bertha is bad, but Grizelda is worse. Not that that's a possibility.

Yes, the image that springs to mind for the name Bertha is a spinster who is 50 years old and 300lbs. However, I did meet a female named Bertha once and she was in her 20's and quite attractive. Then again, that was about 15 years ago so who knows now.

There's a lot of people in the military that have funny names.

reply

Wow, ok. Because obviously someone's name tells you everything about their appearance and personality. It's not just a word used to identify a human or anything.

Maybe her middle name is something cutesy rather than something old fashioned. I once worked with a woman whose first and middle name was Mary Melody, as in the Merry Melodies cartoons.

reply

oh like Eve Bambi Baird or something.

Her names came from her grandmothers or favorite aunts or something. I have my aunt's first name and my mother's middle name for my middle name. My oldest daughter has her grandmothers' first name (both are named Mary) and my mother's middle name. My third daughter has her other grandmother's middle name for her middle name. Daughter #2 has her very own name (although she was named after my favorite soap opera character and Anne of Green Gables!).

Her first name came from the the fact that she was born just before midnight on 24th of December (or was it stroke of midnight 25th?), not from a relative.

For all we know they've gone the mother's-maiden-name-as-middle approach. Rare these days, but who knows.

reply

she hates her middle name though, so that'd mean she hates her mom or whatever relative she was named after.

That's possible. But she could also just hate the name, and still love the person it came from.

I hated my first name so much that I had it legally changed, but I still loved the aunt I was named after and helped take care of her toward the end of her life.
