Catholicism and the Vatican

Something I noticed in the episode where Lenny gives his speech to the cardinals. . . . the incredible wealth the Catholic church must have. His costume alone with the "tiara" must have been worth thousands and thousands of dollars. All the art work, and the Vatican itself. $$$$$$$!!! Wouldn't that money be more helpful if given to help the poor and all the starving people in the world who seem to be growing more and more every day? It's very sad and shameful.

I don't have numbers available, but I have seen estimates that if the Vatican sold everything it could feed the world, for two days.

Catholics, and individual dioceses, spend a very great deal of money throughout the world on charities, and no, they do not require conversion for people to be helped.

Virtually all the art and other treasures they possess have been donated. They serve the faith of over one billion people in the world.
