Lol, did you follow me here? :-)

yes I think so

I finished watching it, it was initially very difficult to get into, especially since a lot of what was being said wasn't exactly meaningful to someone like me, for whom religion was never a part of life.

However, the later episodes do make up for it - I just wish this material was in the hands of a more skillful storyteller. There was too much that was wrong with the series, too many unfinished story lines, random plot lines that didn't go anywhere, suddenly appearing characters who were never introduced (or explained later), and so on.

I would definitely watch season 2, though.

I will take a pass thanks

It was torture to watch, but I made it though to the end only because I love Jude Law.

reply

Why would someone watch? It has an interesting premise, is beautifully filmed and has a great headline actor in Jude Law and also features Diane Keaton, Ludivine Sagnier and some really good acting from the supporting cast.

Why did I quit watching? Slow, tedious and disjointed plotting. At one point I decided I didn't know what was going on, and soon after that I didn't really care. A sad end to my viewership considering all the positives I noted previously.

It has a strong character at the lead with the premise of articulate thinking.

It also has an alternate angle at the view of the pople.

or fantasy.

reply

Absolutely. No basis in reality whatsoever.

reply

Hah! One casual look at history will make you eat those words. There's plenty of shock changes in reality. Take America's democracy for instance. No really, take it.

reply

I took a look at history and there was nothing that even came close. So you can take my words and eat them yourself. Bon appetit!

reply

Because its awesome
