shareI finished watching it, it was initially very difficult to get into, especially since a lot of what was being said wasn't exactly meaningful to someone like me, for whom religion was never a part of life.
However, the later episodes do make up for it - I just wish this material was in the hands of a more skillful storyteller. There was too much that was wrong with the series, too many unfinished story lines, random plot lines that didn't go anywhere, suddenly appearing characters who were never introduced (or explained later), and so on.
I would definitely watch season 2, though.
