Finally a mini-series which asks (and answers?) the question

"What would happen if the College of Cardinals elected an insane man as Pope?". Actually, that's probably been answered elsewhere in history, but I'm not a papal historian so I don't know the answer.

If you happened to watch "You, Me, and the Apocalypse" last year and enjoyed the brilliant Vatican storyline with Rob Lowe, for *beep* sake don't bother with The Young Pope. You will be massively disappointed. If you didn't see "You, Me, and the Apocalypse", see it for the Vatican/Rob Lowe scenes -- well worth it, and you can fast-forward to them if you don't like the rest of that show.

I saw the 2nd episode and I agree. I think he's insane. I know it's a series, but wouldn't they have noticed him being insane, before he got elected.

What is wrong with him? It will be interesting how the series plays out. I think everyone is realizing they need to do something.
