Boy, This was a disappointment
I thought it was terrible first two episodes were terrible.
shareCan you elaborate please? Terrible in comparison with what?
In the other thread you wrote.
"I just thought it was a weird show. weird people, weird plot, weird acting. Not what i was expecting."
What were you expecting exactly?
Just something much better and much higher quality.
shareYou're obviously wrong in your judgement
shareGuys please, we cannot really comment anything if we don't elaborate, contextualize and give reasons for our opinions.
If we don't bother doing that than we might just as well restrain ourselves from commenting, because it would be useless, and just rate the show with the number of stars we deem it worthy.
I saw the first episode and I am not sure who to root for.
The Pope doesn't seem like a good person. He seems to want power and tries to rub it in everyone's face that he's in charge and that everyone should bow to him. Instead of trying to work with people and do what is best for the church. It seems as if it's all about himself and to get more power.
I wonder what he was like when he was not the pope. Was a good priest?
Priests usually have aura around them, they are usually kind and have no ego.
From what I saw from the first episode, I think that they are going to try and remove him, because he'll be bad for the church. Maybe, his advisor will realize what a liability he is and help the other cardinals to get him out of power.
This young pope looks and sounds unhinged and insane.
shareBut is he unhinged? Or determined to oust the corruption with a clean sweep?
This is the Vatican through the looking glass, and it was a stunning beginning to the series.
Jude Law was marvellous.
I think it's far too early to work out what's going on, but it hooked me in almost instantly.
I hope the rest is as good as the first episode.
In the UK, I think we saw 2 episodes back to back as the episode lasted almost 2 hours. I fully enjoyed the first hour and disliked the 2nd. I don't want to spoil anything but the 2nd hour took a very weird turn for the pope.
shareI just finished watching the 4th episode and it is weird. I don't know how much is in his head.
There is one scene where he faints. I don't know if this is real or not. I think he would have crushed the girl that is holding on to him.
I think the cardinals are finally going to start to do something to get rid of this evil pope. It's about time. I think they need to do another vote and vote him out.
I wasn't sure who I was rooting for. I think they need to get rid of the pope.
I just can't understand why Sister Mary, thinks he's a saint and a good person. She has to see what he's doing and all the mayhem he is causing. She needs to run away, before he realizes she's a threat and gets rid of her.
