Soooo Good!!!!

If you cut off 3 fingers I could still count on my hands how many times I've teared up about a series or film. This show isn't for everyone but I really love the episode 9's emotional payoff. Everyone even the Pope are flawed they unintentionally make mistakes but still are capable of goodness and in Lenny's case miracles.

Yes it was a great episode. I read a review by the Rolling Stone after the episode aired. I was surprised with their reaction. And pleased.

Lenny has always been capable of goodness. He just didn't have the opportunity to apply it. And in an adult and universal way.

Love your quote booya83. Just perfect!

Thanks Blue, gonna miss talking to you about the show when IMDB closes down.

Same here!

What happened to your hinge and door quote, booya83?

lol seems pointless to make it a permanent quote now. Remember it's what Michael said on his death bed that's why I added it. I thought it was fitting since it matches the simple yet profound nature of the show.

Episode 9 broke my heart last night and Jude Law was a marvel.

Agree, digitaldiva. He was. And he deserves some hefty recognition for his portrayal. I was plenty moved.

I'm trying to pull away from any heartache over it too. There was an article a few weeks ago on the dangerous beauty of the actor and how his good looks ensnare rather than enchant or something like that. I'm ok with both of those things to a degree. That's why actors are chosen and what they can lend to a production to draw in viewers that another may not. Just my opinion... It's hard not to get caught up in the whole emotional aspect of this beautiful series and try to keep a healthy and objective perspective so that months later you can still say 'yeah like wow' when others asked if you watched it. Tonight I'm getting the tissues ready because if I don't get teary-eyed for the content it will be for the end of a unique journey.

Hi BleFee. One of the reasons that the series worked was because Jude's beauty if so mesmerizing. He been stunning people since he was a teen actor, but during that period took on Shakespeare, learned his craft and became a serious actor. He's an amazing actor and isn't always given his due because he is so handsome.

I've never seen Lenny as a bad person. Think he has a rather pure heart and its why he is so dogmatic and principled. He is hell bent on controlling the corruption in the church, how he approaches make him come off as an as*hole but underneath think he has good intentions. Also think he is honest but doesn't filter so well, so his ego comes even more ginormous. Now by the end of this he may be the anti-christ, lol, but as of now Lenny is a Pope with supernatural powers and great ability. How he utilizes them in the end, we will see but as of now he is a fascinating character. Most intriguing character on TV since Rust Cohle in my IMO.
