Thanks for the LINK BLU!!!
The RED FLOOR LENGTH SASH with the GORGEOUS GOLD STITCHING is my FAVORITE!!!
Since they also say things we see were HAND STITCHED that must have also taken FOREVER to make.
It's also quite a BIG SURPRISE to discover that he isn't wearing the typical FLEECE for his work out outfit.
And please also pick up one of those SUN HATS for me when you're in ROME.
Here's something else to PONDER:
As Pope Pius XIII in The Young Pope, Jude Law is sexy and he knows it. Unlike great narcissists of history, however, he doesn’t like showing off his beauty: He declines to reveal his face in his first public address to the faithful from St. Peter’s Basilica and forbids people from taking his photograph. He likes to maintain the papal mystique
What LENNY is doing is the same thing as PRINCE HAL does in SHAKESPEARE:
http://derkster.blogspot.com/2011/12/henry-iv-part-1-william-shakespeare.htmlPrince Hal's Soliloquy Henry IV, Part 1 William Shakespeare Prince Hal's Soliloquy (I.ii.173–195)
I know you all, and will awhile uphold
The unyoked humour of your idleness.
Yet herein will I imitate the sun,
Who doth permit the base contagious clouds
To smother up his beauty from the world,
That when he please again to be himself,
Being wanted, he may be more wondered at
By breaking through the foul and ugly mists
Of vapours that did seem to strangle him.
If all the year were playing holidays,
To sport would be as tedious as to work;
But when they seldom come, they wished-for come,
And nothing pleaseth but rare accidents.
So, when this loose behaviour I throw off
And pay the debt I never promisèd,
By how much better than my word I am,
By so much shall I falsify men’s hopes;
And like bright metal on a sullen ground,
My reformation, glitt’ring o’er my fault,
Shall show more goodly and attract more eyes
Than that which hath no foil to set it off.
I’ll so offend to make offence a skill,
Redeeming time when men think least I will.
IN other words, BOTH PRINCE HAL and LENNY are being VERY CUNNING and MANIPULATIVE with their FOLLOWERS.
And one also suspects that LENNY may also have read this passage in this PLAY ...
which is probably also why he decides to PRETEND as if the DARK CLOUDS have COVERED UP his BEAUTY ...
so that when he BREAKS through them then his GOOD LOOKS will also be even more PRETTY than if he'd never had them HIDDEN by the CLOUDS and MISTS???
But LENNY also seems to have OVERLOOKED the other part of the passage that mentions how IMPORTANT it is to have some PLAY TIME???
