Lost 1950's film
Only Zemeckis in his technical prowess could make a film with 40's/50's sensibilities, only updated to modern times which is expected from all films, however this feels like something Joseph Mankiewicz would have made back then, I mean truly wow Zemeckis my hats off to you, this is a film made by gentle touches of visual innuendo, no too clear exposition, so much is revealed in body language, I was crying just from the beauty of film language communicated here, so refreshing. Another surprising fthing about this film is how it feels like it was based on a novel, as if there's more story already written, yet it was an original tale, there's so much left to imagine and live in, and I love it that way. This is a film I would have adored as a 7 year old when dozens of films like this I used to watch with my parents.
