We were surprised but today I thought of Showtime's The Knick. Cocaine a running theme, early 1900's NY medical drama, graphic but highly recommend!

it was end of times in ww2, hence the girls kissing, lotsa shagging, and drug use,
like no tomorrow

much more likely speed than coke, speed used by all the troops
