ADHD and hyperactivity?
Die says that Steve was diagnosed with ADHD and hyperactivity as a child, now Im not a psychologist/psychiatrist but from what we see in Steve's character doesn't this seem like early set Bipolar disorder?

shareHey, I think Dolan could have gone with something like Bipolar (I see why you would say he seems that way, but I'm also not sure it completely fits Steve... and also I know Steve is around the kind of age Bipolar tends to manifest in the film, but from what the film says it was his Father's death several years earlier that really sparked things for the worse and they were there even before this...) but I think the point of the film is not the specific condition Steve is suffering from. If Dolan had said Steve was bipolar I feel like the film may have had to be more accurate. Rather than this it goes with a perhaps less specific diagnosis. I feel like the attachment disorder part Die says Steve is diagnosed with is particularly pertinent to how he is and his relationship with his Mother and inner feelings, though...
