Wouldn't the police be involved?

With the first prank at the beginning? I mean if the lady shot her daughter and herself wouldn't the cops at least check into the last phone call she had? I didn't mind the movie as it was slightly better than some of the crap horror movies that have come out lately, but that just really bothered me. It's not like they were hiding the pranks.

I noticed it has some problems, but I think maybe the killer didn't call the police and realized that was all prank. He was enough ready for game and rules, and you see the police at the end. He was genius man!

That's what I thought as well -- Surely the story of the mother shooting her daughter then herself would have been on the news? And with the boys posting the prank video online and the popularity of their YouTube channel, no one put two and two together? Really?? I get it, it's fiction, suspension of disbelief and all that but that plot hole bothered me, too.
