Dang. I am fine with swallowing a lot of absurdities in films so that I can be entertained but geez, this film took it to a whole new level.
You have to completely turn common sense off in order to enjoy this. How many crazy implausible things can one movie give to us?
The only things that bothered me really was how the guy found out about the two kids. I'm assuming he may have caught the video of his wife in the opening scene on their internet prank site and recognized her voice. I'm also certain with 2 popular bozos like that, it would be easy to track them down if anyone really wanted to since they showed their faces in their vids. But yeah, instead of going to the cops, the killer plotted his revenge. The second thing I didn't like was how the girl ended up in the back yard of her boyfriend's house after he told her to call the cops and hide. I mean WTF? Had to have been the killer's hand in this where he forced her there then ran in the house to get his friend outside disguised as him, just in time as the boyfriend entered that area. That was one of the implausible things you mentioned of course.
