Mr I's Strength and Voice

So just saw this the other day and have 2 issues.

1. Mr Incredible's strength. The first movie he was show to be very strong able to pretty much muscle his way through anything including ripping a giant killer robot apart pulling/lifting trains and smashing walls like they were screen doors.

Here he seems unable to do much with not being able to move the metal pipes out of his way, struggling to move the ships rudder, and also struggling with the under-miner's digging machine. Is it just me or does he not seem to be even in the same ballpark strength wise?

2. Mr I's voice. It's probably is just that Nelson is older than dirt now but his voice seemed deeper and stronger in the first movie where here he seems to be soft and whinny. Anybody else notice?
