Its too bad Dennis Farina died. He was a Chicago police detective and policeman for almost 20 years before becoming an actor. He appeared with Ed Burns in some movies like Purple Violets, Sidewalks of New York, and Saving Private Ryan.

I remember him in Law and Order, Get Shorty and especially Crime Story, a police vs. Mafia series set in Chicago and Las Vegas in the 1960's.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

I used to see him around town over the past couple of years here in Scottsdale...a great actor, and a true gentleman.
