Almost too lighthearted and comical. Though I think that the murder at the end was committed by the Neal McDonough character.

Keep watching. I've seen the first 4 eps since it's on TNT's site and it gets better and better with each ep and a lot more grittier. The pacing too get slowed down. Does still have comical moments but that's expected with Ed's writing.
