Great show. Totally not sexist !!!

I get its not some peoples cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's badly acted . It actually is one of the better shows on network television . Also it is doing very well in the ratings (just another fact). The acting is IMO as good as any show on FOX or CBS. It's not cheesy humor and corny jokes mixed into a show that is a serious drama. That is what makes this better than most on these network shows. It goes to dark places and stays the course of the storyline throughout. It's not a super cop show where there is 3 people out collecting DNA off of everything and solving multiple murders and crimes by the shows end.
As the remarks to being sexist, I will say it definitely is NOT. The times that it is set in , women were not treated so great. Beyond that, most women are hookers who are out in a dangerous city at a dangerous time doing dangerous work. Many men are killed as well, actually way more. Don't watch it if you don't like it, but I'll guarantee a 2nd season will come . Well deserved to. Ed Burns did a hell of a job with a show that is in a saturated market with cop shows. To go out and be different , and do it right is what makes it watched by more and a cut above the others.
