shareYeah, we only saw him in that one small scene when he arrived at the farmhouse. As I stated in a different thread, I'm thinking the entire last episode was written somewhat ambiguous in case the show didn't return.
shareThe show wasn't written that way at all. Ed revealed in his memoir he has a 5 season plan for it and has already written season 2. Plus when they filmed this episode the series hadn't even debuted yet and they wrapped filming back in Feb or March. He also did reveal Ritchie will be back next season and have a major role.

Though I think Burns' apparently having a five season plan might even be worse, given we don't know if the show will last that long. I really hope it does, because I'm sure he's thought it out, and who doesn't want to see Richie back? He was one of the best parts of the show.
Good to know. I loved this season but I hope it picks up some excitement next season.
