It did not fell like a season finale to me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the show & I enjoyed the season finale but the way they ended it did not feel like it was the season finale & that it could continue with a couple more episodes before the season ends. Did anyone else feel that way?

I'm on the fence. There was some closure regarding Patton's death and Bull's relation with Stacey, plus Terry deciding to move, and even Rusty running away with the woman he loved, the reason he started all this *beep* to begin with. But the rest felt like they were just setting things up for season 2, which I guess is okay as long there IS a season 2.

I want to know who's getting the axe at work, who blew up Patton, what Rusty is going to do, where the hell Richie is and what he's doing, where Vince's relation with Moose's niece is going, Dee's pregnancy, all these little things that the season didn't resolve.

I'm all for a Wire-like style of things not always getting resolved perfectly, but at least give us a tiny bit more closure than this.

I posted something almost identical to what you wrote in another thread. It didn't feel like a season finale. It's not that everything has to be wrapped up, but a season finale should have more closure than what the writers left us with. I'm excited about the idea of more seasons to come.

If they had closed with Patton's car getting bombed, that would have been a decent finish to the season.

Agreed. Paxton's car blowing up would have been a nice ending shocker.

I agree since most plot lines weren't wrapped up. When I binged watched the series during their Labor Day event I thought it cut off early. My guess is since Ed's not usually a TV writer he decided to leave things not resolved since he does have a five season plan for the show.

Why should it be resolved? If it was then all those storylines in the finale wouldn't be cliffhangers and they are... makes me want to watch the 2nd season to see what happens: Who bombed Patton? Who is getting canned? Will Bull go back to Stacey? Where will Rusty run off to? California? Now that Patton is gone and Rusty is on the run what will Richie do or go to war with? The new Irish bosses? etc..

I like cliffhangers like that.. otherwise what is the point if we get all the answers at the end of a show's season? ...
