The girl's name should have been Vicky.

And are the writers aware that Ricky and Dicky are both nicknames for Richard?

Yeah, naming her Vicky would have been funny.

As for Ricky and Dicky... there's one of two things going on here. First is that the two boys could indeed just share the name Richard. My brother and I have the same first name but different nicknames.

On the other hand... I also know a former co-worker whose name was Ricky... JUST Ricky. It didn't stand for anything. Ricky was the name on his ID. He wasn't Richard.

I also think that Vicky is a hideous name.

If you ever use a time machine to tell that to Queen Victoria she will not be amused.

I would go with Tori before I'd go with Vicky.

Instead of having Ricky and Dicky, which are both nicknames for Richard, why didn't they name one of them Mickey? Their dad runs a sporting goods store so I would assume he would be a sports fan so perhaps he was a Mickey Mantle fan.
