Significance of the horses

Ok, funny show. They keep showing random clips of stray horses running down the side walk. Does anyone have an idea on the significance of having this recurring image? The first time would just be a gag, but since that episode, they have appeared in each episode at least once. Any thoughts? Horsemen of the Apocalypse reference perhaps?

There just horses that are still loose from their s*** heist. The guy who is dating the cop even mentioned that the cops were having a hard time tracking them down.

I think you're right with that last blurb...

Horsemen of the Apocalypse reference perhaps?

I think they said there 4 horses missing. It's sort of just a running gag throughout the show, but it definitely tied in with the four horsemen part of revelation. In the last episode Jesus rides in on one of them. Although in the bible, Jesus rode on the pale one. In the show, he rode a brown horse.
