If you're a lost Boondocks fan...

This is not the same show. The creators are Aaron McGruder AND Mike Clattenburg. I sense that many of you haven't seen Clattenburg's most famous show Trailer Park Boys...

It's a great show, and critically acclaimed, but it takes some getting used to. I remember watching it and not laughing until I was 3 or 4 episodes in. What makes it funny to me is how the characters repeatedly have the same conflicts and how a very simple thing(think: the community garden on Black Jesus) can have so many obstacles and enemies. Basically every season ends in catastrophe.

This show reminds me much more of TPB than of The Boondocks. Even down to little details like everyone driving 70s-era American Cars and giant showdowns with every single character. So what I want to tell you if you're a little disappointed so far is to be patient, keep watching, and this show will probably actually exceed your expectations once the characters and how they interact become more fleshed out.

If you're expecting The Boondocks, you're gonna be disappointed in this show like you said. If you accept the fact this is something completely new and unrelated to The Boondocks, you'll enjoy this show.

Frankly The Boondocks starting losing its mojo after its first season and was complete sh!t by its final season (since McGruder had no involvement).

This show is funny but ultimately hit or miss because its so all over the place.

When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
