Can someone explain this joke to me?

I'm going to guess that since I can find no evidence of an actual Wilt Chamberlain Lake, it's a joke based on his claim that he had sex with over 20,000 women.

I should have waited to see the episode before posting. They mentioned the lake was polluted or asumed to be polluted. But not why it was called Wilt Chamberlain. He played for the Lakers maybe thats it.

I thought it might be an LA thing or a black thing

So the joke is that its all a lie and this many women never slept with him and therefore didn't get any diseases/pollution?

It is not a lie, but maybe an exaggeration. Most of his conquests were done during his beach volleyball days. Yes, he was also a pro beach volleyball player he probably had sex with your mom if you live in a coastal state.
