For those who have played the game...

Is it just me or does Pedro Pascal give a flatter performance than Troy Baker in the game? He reads the same lines as Joel but with little or no inflection. Often times the lines are read at a faster pace and almost felt like they are being read as quickly as they can to get them out of the way.


Also, I think sticking as close to the source material as they did "mostly" was an actual detriment to the show. It felt kinda pointless to see Identical line readings, scenarios, and even the ending. The game nailed it so well that trying to copy it so heavily just brings more comparisons and scrutiny.


I think it would have been smarter to keep the same characters and setting but create their own story in the same vein as the game.
