During a shooting stands up out in the open solo against 5 enemies. How does a guy that is able to turn a town into a fortress build actual working booby traps would ever think it is a good idea to NOT cover during a shooting?

Bill could have built up a false sense of invulnerability with his rigged up fortress while copying up with Matt Walsh, uh, I mean Frank.

I wondered the same thing, him coming out and shooting up like he's in a parade, out in the open like that instead of from a cover like a window or a closet, made no sense. Nevertheless, that was still my favorite episode.
