Apparently after running out of Elk nobody noticed all of a sudden the meat tasted and looked different. One of the town folks even looked at the food strange and asked what is was and the cook said venison. LMAO.

I think some of them knew tbh but they were starving.
Who knows, maybe human meat is actually low-key delicious

Yeah I think lots of people could live in denial when they're starving. Force themselves to believe what they were told about the 'venison'.
