One touching gay episode is enough
last night's filler episode was pushing it.
shareI’m still waiting on the episode with two extremely infected getting it on.
sharetheir fungussed faces are bad enough, the possibilities of what's gone on with their moist soft hidden bodily regions doesn't bear thinking about
shareYay!
We can finally have sex with no condoms!
You sure?
What?
You think I am going to infect you even more than you already are?
Let's get down!
Perhaps, but I would have preferred last night's episode over the previous one by a wide margin. The previous story felt very artificial to me, and probably came too early in the season to risk derailing the momentum by focusing on backstory that had very little value in the larger story, and that could have been handled much more briefly. On the other hand, I found Ellie's story quite touching and much more genuine and engaging, and it provides context to her part in the larger story moving forward. Both together are definitely overkill.

Oh, I agree with that, the force-everything-into-one-episode thing doesn't work for me.
What's funny enough to actually make me laugh out loud is that in the beginning of this episode they say ... 3 months later. You gotta wonder at the rate of adventures, mishaps, calamitites, deaths, etc that happens to these two in one or two days, how much did we miss in those 3 months?
Ha! No kidding. If you've played the game, they were probably searching around trying to unlock trophies. :) Joking aside, within the universe of the show, I'm sure they'd at least be encountering other infected over those months. For a story about fungus zombies they don't seem to run into them very often, so those less story-relevant encounters probably happen off-screen. Be nice if they hinted at some of those adventures, though. I doubt months go by uneventfully, although I suppose that's possible.

I'm amazed that power is still on in the mall and the arcade games still work.
shareWell, it's only 20 years since civilization crumbled. And probably a bit of magic ...
shareLol 🤣🤣👍
shareThe firefly girl said that fedra had neglected to disconnect it from the grid or something along those lines. Thing is, you can bet whoever's maintaining the power in this desperate world would be keeping a VERY careful eye on consumption and this girl turning on a whole mall would have had alarm bells ringing immediately.
shareI thought it had more of a genuine feel to it than the gay men episode. Can’t wait til Pedro finds his Mandolorian helmet and a small green alien again next month ;)
shareI agree.
If you are not gay, getting touched once by one is enough.
