Tip is a boy played by a girl?

I don't understand why a girl is playing a boy. Did they use CG to put her face on a boy's body or something? What's the point?

I think it'll turn up later on. Can't tell yet. But I wonder if she's an undeveloped girl who's trying to pass herself off as a boy? We don't know the backstory of why Tip is in there in the first place.

simply guessing...

But I'd look for the 'female reveal' to play into the Wizard's line about "there will be no more Witches born in OZ"... with how long ago the past events are talked about, that likely means that Tip shouldn't exist; so when she matures she'll set off some sort of magic alarm

The Crazy Lady was likely using a hybrid magic/chemistry to postpone her development so that she would stay under the radar (the Funeral dance implied, at least to me, that sensuality/sexuality plays some kind of a role in the use of magic)

reply

Ah yes, there we go. Obviosuly CG before.

If you ever saw movie or read the book return to OZ, both completely different stories but Mombi was in charge of Imprisoning Ozma, in the book Ozma was transformed into a boy to hide her because the Wizard knew that she was the rightful Heir to the Thron to the Emerald city. In the movie she was placed in a mirror so the Wizard could rule the Emerald city. So, my guess is that later Tip will become Ozma.
