Where is witch of the South

Any thoughts

reply

I have a feeling Dorothy's mother was the Witch of the South.

reply

I believe they said she died at the hands of this Beast thing 20 years prior or something like that.

reply

Yes they did. And remember when Dorothy showed up on the doorsteps 20 years ago as a baby in her real mother's arms? Her mother was that witch traveling on the skies.

I think the witch of the south is Fiona Shaw's uncredited character.

Fiona Shaw is indeed credited. Click on "The rest of the cast."

I just did, and she is not listed in the cast our on her own page.

Fiona Shaw is playing Mombi

The Witch of the South was so badly destroyed by the Beast that there was nothing left for the sisters to perform the funerary rites, as the Wizard said in the second episode tonight.

I suppose that anything is possible, she faked her death (easier to do in the chaos of war) and made her way to our world. But East, North & West would know if she was dead, just like they knew when East died.

reply

Maybe if she was in another universe, it felt like she was dead.

right. no body...whole thing could have been faked. east, north and west could all have been faking to lead oz to believe that his adversaries were dying off, while they secretly build strength best they can. although, apparently only north was actually doing this. so south could still be fiona shaw's character (this would explain why she's not dead, regardless of head bashing, because the scarecrow is not a witch.) alternately, dorothy's mom, but shaw's character MUST be a witch. tim as well.

reply

In Kansas on our Earth. (Dorthy's mom.)

reply

Yeah, Fiona Shaw being Mombi makes sense if Tip is Ozma and it would be pretty awesome if they just left that story hanging for a while just so Fiona's character would come back with greater meaning later in the story.
