I haven't started watching it, but I'm thinking of maybe starting to watch it when it comes on 5STAR (UK TV) next Wednesday and I just thought I'll ask, is Emerald City worth to start watching and what does people think about the show

It's not for everyone, but if you've liked director/producer Tarsem Singh's other work (apart from maybe Mirror, Mirror - as fun as it was) you may well enjoy it.

No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

It is a dark boring alteration that leaves a flat feeling. Watch the pilot, it is in essence the show. Nothing really happens. Galavant was 200% better. The sets are nice, Oz is a little dull. The only thing that may improve this tragic story could quite possibly be some humour. Upstart crows Ben Elton could have made it a classic.. My opinion is swayed by good uk standards. LoL.

I would watch it if you like Wizard of Oz reinvented. I found it to be choppy plot wise with lots of unnecessary filler. You have the advantage to binge watch and fast forward through the filler so I would hop into the tornado with Toto (a German Shepherd).

I was dubious as to how they could pull it off and make it unique.
The first three episodes were good but the next three are progressively better each time. I am now a fan. It is not meant for young kids.

Agreed it does start of slow but after setting the basics it picks up a lot. Think it's a show that will benefit a lot from being binge watched too.
