DOJ Investigation/Brody

I was just thinking. What if DOJ wanted to infiltrate the terrorist group executed the attacks in New Orleans. They would keep NCIS under investigation.
And possibly recruit someone to go undercover. This would raise the possibility that Brody left NCIS to go undercover with the terrorists.
She could provide intel on the group/figure out the moles. If they did recruit her. This could leave open the possibility that she MIGHT return, as a guest star. Or they could reveal that she had been recruited, but was discovered and killed off by the terrorists.
Third possibility is that she left NCIS/law enforcement entirely.
Any thoughts?

Actually I love that idea. It would give hope to many of her fans, and provide a better explanation for her character's departure. It would, also, provide a very emotional, and sad, episode if she were killed off by the terrorists.

Although I'm not sure I'm even going to watch without Brody. She was a favorite character for me , but it would help to have a decent explanation for her leaving.
