No More Brody?! Interview with Lucas Black

According to a recent interview, Zoe/Brody won't be back for the third season. Am I the only one completely surprised???? I wasn't much for the Sebastian-Brody hints of romance. I preferred Percy-Sebastion romance hinted at the end of seasons one. You can find the interview here: http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/news/23041094-113/the-natural-ncis-new-orelans-star-black-has

To me it was easy to see this coming. Her role compared to season 1 was so diminished in season 2 it wasn't funny. It's all about Percy now. Wish they would have left her in the background and kept Zoe.

That's what I noticed too. They brought in Percy and pushed Brody more and more out of the team equation. It was Lasalle and Percy constantly working together. Pride had to protect Sonja. Brody was doing a lot of solo stuff, where she was out of town or investigating something individually, like her sister's murder. And took them forever to wrap up that storyline as they kept making stories about Percy's past.

Completely stupid. This is exactly what I feared when they kept trying to push Percy on us. Ugh!!!!

it was officially announced today. From the article, she was written out of the show last season by not seeing the bad guy sooner. This makes me wonder if all the problems she had last year (she was in the middle of a brutal custody battle and I also heard cancer), she requested to leave to be closer to her son and be back in California. Maybe that was why the sudden push together Percy/Lasalle--"work-husband" thing.

If only it was just about Percy! Unfortunately the show is replacing Zoe, who I really like, with Vanessa Ferlito. She ruined "24" and CSI:New York for me. Now I probably won't watch this show anymore either. Between this and Wilmer Valderamma on NCIS, I don't know what direction they plan on taking these shows next season but it doesn't look good.

She left on her own accord. Tough break. If the mothership collapses like I suspect it will, NCIS may be done as a franchise.

They said "creative decision" vague. But yes Mclellahn was in a custody battle over her child but she made no indication of it in interviews.

Ferlito was only on CSI: NY for the first season. After she left, the show didn't falter until Kanakaredes left and CBS moved it to the Friday deathslot.

And really, I hope Ferlito actually does well to take all the focus off of Percy, who is downright annoying.

Totally agree with you!

It could be the whole custody issue. Or maybe something to do with the cancer she had. It's weird though that he chose to say that in a interview, yet it's not an official release. Reminds me of McCallum's interview that talked about Weatherly leaving.

This is the first time that I've heard about it.

According to her facebook, she's back in LA.

Percy hardly had any air time last season, Brody was on more. I think her getting cut was a good call she had no chemistry with anyone, not even Ivan, the trader on the last two episodes. It seemed forced.
