We all want straight answers about Zoe McClellan, because she was great on the show. Are they pulling another "Jenny Shepard" without adequate explanation? I have already slowed down on watching this one.

Are you talking about the actress or the character? Because with Lauren Holly she left because she wanted to move to Canada to be closer to family in upstate NY. As for Zoe, it could be personal problems. It could also be NCIS NO recharging sooner rather than later. Broadcast networks are doing terrible in the ratings dept. While NO is doing bad, they might want to do something now beofre it dips too far.
shareAs for Jenny Shepard, I always got the impression that Lauren Holly was trying to "take over" the series as her character was Madame Director of NCIS. Insiders said that writing her out "had been planned for some time." The actress, other cast members, and producers could have been at odds. You could tell from the writers-they gave her some horrible mysterious disease, they shot her, burned her house down, then covered it all up. Like driving a stake through the vampire's heart. I miss Jenny.
NCIS:NO is doing better than mosts other network series, mostly due to it's position following the mother ship on Tuesday night. Yes, the ratings are down a bit but nothing like the dozens of other flops on all the networks.
When they start making cast changes, it hurts any show; however, the Brody character was great but never entirely fit-in with the New Orleans bunch either. Personal problems vs. Storyline changes.
It could have something to do with her divorce in May
shareI just learned she was let go because her character was compromised when Brody was involved with a Homeland Security expert at the end of last season. Maybe she will join another show. I know that Mark Harmon is extremely fond of her. He insisted that she was cast for NCIS New Orleans.
shareBummer. I came her because I was hoping Zoe McClellan had not left the show, as I just watched Season 3 episode 1 tonight, after recording it last week, and saw she wasn't in it. So disappointed: Zoe/Merri had become my favorite on the show. I will miss her.
