This was a solid episode right up till the fbi decide to prematurely send elisa off to live in hiding before fully checking all the evidence they had collected and using a standard fbi vehicle (not armoured) with out back up / convoy...
I like this show but this was a pretty big mistake from the writers, just to make yet another case personal for one of the team...
They almost never have enough backup, just like when the fbi gal and LaSalle were following the money and the hit man got away. In a case this big I would think they'd call for air support.
What I really hated was they took out a fantastic love interest for Pride, boy did they have great chemistry.
It was sloppy writing. Seeing how volatile and dangerous the situation they were dealing with was, the safest place for her would've been the FBI building. Since they were already preparing for the raid it made no since to send her off prematurely. If she was that important to Pride why didn't he escort her out, and why did they not make direct contact with the escort that was guarding her instead of him using her to relay a message to the driver (that was *beep* corny)? They had personnel already on the ground floor, so why did they not respond?
I'm really sick of this damn fbi chick. She needs to go!
Good news for you - given the way her boss told her that her career was over. She's probably out of the FBI. Bad new for you - Since she's a regular cast member, she'll likely join NCIS: New Orleans.

In almost all CSI, NCIS or long running series new characters are not met with any praise or patients. I remember on Criminal Mind the fans ran off Seaver as if she had Black Death. Then on NCIS it was the young new blond gal replacing Divia. We need to be more patient with the new FBI gal.
I tried watching reg. ncis, but it's more a sitcom than a drama, I started watching NOLA and really liked it, I like Pride, LaSalle, Loretta, the FBI girl, I liked Brody, did not like Sonja, so glad she wasn't in it this week, it's just a no nonsense show as ncis is.
New blonde girl that "replaced" Ziva is called (Ellie) Bishop. But yeah, every new person is disliked at first. I pretty much hated Percy when she showed up, but now I think she's okay. I'm sure that the same thing will happen with Gregorio.

I am beginning to really like Gregorio. She's human, gets hurt and makes mistakes. Sonja is still too much of a Mary-Sue, perfect. It was actually nice that for once this season LaSalle didn't look like an idiot. He and Gregorio made a great pair in working the case.
I know what you mean, with Persy and LaSalle, it like they are going for umm, comedy? but with Gregorio it's all business, I wish they would leave the comedy pages on the shelf. They don't need it, it's a terrific show without it.
I also think the viewers will warm up to the new gal. It might be a bad idea to get into her personal life to much, it doesn't matter if it's a gay theme it's just that most fans could care less about romance in the work place. Besides I'm not sure she is all the way in the lesbians corner. Of course a bisexual character will never happen at CBS.
Character driven crime shows are supposed to get into the personal life on occasion, which often includes romances. Otherwise it'd just be week after week of solving cases and nothing more, and that would get boring too. Of course you have to be careful so that it doesn't become too much personal life and too little professional life, but I don't think it's true that most fans don't care about the characters personal/romantic life. On the original show, Tony and Ziva had a lot of shippers, and whenever Delilah (McGee's fiancee) shows up it's met with excitement from fans, Kensi and Deeks from NCIS: LA also has a lot of shippers.
As for Gregorio's sexuality, CBS' entertainment president specifically used the word lesbian for her, so that's probably what she is. But until we get confirmation from herself within the show, we can't be 100% sure.

What I meant is strife, cheating spouses, abuse type of stuff. You are correct the way you talked on what viewers may like. But LaSalles baby and baby momma drama or Bishop's cheating husband stuff I could care less about.
