who should play the next mayor?

if this is all leading to a showdown between Pride and the mayor, and possible David Weber's exit from the show - unless the mayor gets away with it at the end of the season - who do you think should play the next mayor?

I was wondering, since he was actually born in New Orleans, if John Laroquette would be interested. It's not high drama but it is a steady paycheque and i'd finally like to see a New Orleans actor play more than a bit part.

He's got the show "Librarians" going for him...may not be able to take on another role.

Yes but "Librarians" is not main network show (20-25 episodes), it's cable (usually 10-13 episodes per season), so I don't see a problem to appear occasionally in NCIS New Orleans.

"The Librarians" is renewed to another season, which comes out in late fall. The probably start filming in summer. So when they finish filming, he as still time to join NCIS New Orleans because second half of the season is still in production.

Even when he appears in NCIS NOLA season finale.

I am a fan of TV crossovers. It connects different shows and puts them into same universe

Tom Arnold. His character could just hack the election and win in a landslide.
