Where I lived it was known as Price Club at the time. Dunno if it was the same in the states. Maybe its a name rights thing as in the show couldn't use it. Here's the history timeline though...

What I couldn't get over wa me that he Costco looked like a Costco set in today's time! Didn't look like he 90s at all
shareBack in the 90's I doubt if they would have made such a big deal about having a Costco credit card, and spending every weekend there, like they did in this particular episode.

Yeah, exactly. It WAS a big deal when it first opened; nowadays, it's not. It makes sense that that is how it would be.
shareOmg... Jessica just put some Olive Garden dressing in her cart! That product was not around in the 90s and definitely NOT with that new Olive Garden Logo!
shareIt would probably be really expensive and unnecessary to film the scene in a 90-period costco, plus it would be less relateable to viewers who know costco is where you bulk buy for bargains (and i don't even live in America). SO they'd just film in a current era costco store - likely for free in exchange for the free advertising basically.
shareEarly 90's is when we got a Costco.
shareI remember Daria doing an episode about it in early 2000.
My mind it kind of goes fast. I'll try to slow it down for you.
I was born in '92. I remember growing up shopping at Costco. They used to sell HUGE bags of popcorn that I could fit myself in it, I wanted to put myself in it and eat the popcorn.
