Stands highly In a small group !! Excellent
I just finished watching The Admiral and besides the parts back and forth in the beginning that confused me as to who was who everything else came to place.
The naval battle was seriously great and it is a great look into naval wars in the 1500s fought by the Chinese and Japanese. Great tactics and acts of Valor in your typical David vs Goliath battle.
Now the thing I've heard a few times on user reviews is that it is the greatest naval battle film ever made. Although I found it very very good and gave it a 8 I must say there's one that is better.
The better film is Peter Weirs masterpiece "Master and Commander-Far side of the World". That film I feel was shot a lite better and the storyline was excellent along with the breathtaking shots at sea and the battle that was at the end.
That being said there aren't many naval films out there and The Admiral is in my top 4
Here are mine
1)Master and Commander
2)Das boot
3Hunt for Red October
4)The admiral (toss up for 3rd)
Excellent gem and I love Netflix for reasons that I'd never have seen this if it wasn't for it !!!
THERES NO ROOM IN MY CIRCUS TENT FOR YOU !!!!
